NORTH OF ENGLAND TRACK AND FIELD LEAGUE.

4^th JUNE 2005.  SPORTS CITY

Rochdale Harriers competed in the 2nd leg of the North of England Track
and Field League at the prestigious Sports City Athletics Track in
Manchester finishing third overall out of the eight competing clubs
winning their fair share of events.  

In the mens A team event there were firsts for Richard Banjac in the
400 metre hurdles (56.1 secs) and Phil Williams in the 1500 metres
(4mins 12.9 secs). In the mens B team there were firsts for Phil Williams
in the 800 metres (2 mins 3.2 secs) and Matt Proctor in the 1500 metres
(4 mins and 22.2 secs). The mens team of Lance Rane, Matthew Proctor,
Richard Banjac and Robert Banjac eased home in the 4 x 400 metres relay
(3 mins 29.8 secs). 

In the ladies A team event Sarah Lucas was the winner in both the 200
metres (27.2 secs) and 400 metres (59.1 secs) and there was also a first
for Lisa Riddall in the high jump B Event (1.24 metre).

The 3rd leg is being hosted by Rochdale Harriers on the 2 July 2005 at
Oldham's athletic track.
