THE ROCHDALE HARRIERS men’s Team had a great victory at the Radcliffe-based Joan Rhodes Memorial 5K race on 3rd August 2006.

Wajib Ali finished in 2^nd place, Phil Williams in 4^th while Kristian Robinson took 13th place.   This gave Rochdale the lowest points total of all teams (in running the lower the points total the better) and first place overall.   The victory was all the sweeter for pushing running giants Salford Harriers into second place, the first time Rochdale has achieved this for a number of years.   Rochdale took home a large trophy as reward.  

At the same event Rochdale’s Brenda Robinson won the female veteran 60 category.  Also Ian Aitchison and Dave Schofield gave impressive performances, finishing 3rd in the MV50 and MV55 categories respectively.
