JENNY BROWN lead Rochdale Harriers home for the second year in a row at the Wadsworth Trog fell race. Heavy fog made the 14 checkpoints all the more difficult to find on this 21.3 mile course with 4,000ft of ascent.
On some paths, disorientated, experienced competitors were running past each other in opposite directions trying to find the same checkpoint.
Jenny’s endurance training in preparation for the High Peak 40 night race paid off, with her posting an excellent time of 4hr 28 min 06 sec. Paul Leary was the next in 4hr 29 min 04 sec, followed not far behind by Chris hill (4.31:35).
Dennis Lucas ran the Half Trog in an impressive time of 1 hr 57 min 50 sec to finish as second male veteran 60.
